Ottawa Public Health requires a pharmacist to coordinate and provide pharmacy support for the provision of Covid 19 vaccines at mass vaccination clinics. Pharmacists need to be available to work any shifts including days, weekends and evenings.
Responsible for overseeing the work of pharmacy personnel and other Healthcare professionals related to the preparation and dispensing of publicly funded vaccines used in public health immunization clinics. Ensures safe, accurate and efficient preparation and dispensing of medication, particularly the Covid-19 vaccine. Provides vaccine related drug information to physicians, nurses and other members of the health care team. Participates in Quality Assurance programs, drug utilization reviews, workload measurements. Also, maintains professional conduct and standards in all aspects of his/her work and when interacting with other Healthcare professionals and the public.
Current license to practice pharmacy by The Ontario College of Pharmacist
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check with the Police Services detachment in their jurisdiction to the City of Ottawa’s satisfaction. Police record checks completed by a third-party company will not be accepted.
English oral, reading, writing required.
