Who we are

Yukon’s Department of Education, Student Support Services - Schools and Student Services Branch.

We are looking for a dynamic, dedicated, and enthusiastic individual who provides all Yukon students with equitable access to learning achievement and the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of their education. As a Speech Language Pathologist, your role will be to identify and support a broad range of speech and language needs for students in the public school system across the Yukon; through assessments and consultations, you will provide intervention assistance and program development for students. This position also participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team to assist schools, parents, and caregivers in supporting students with special learning needs.

Essential Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree from a recognized Speech-Language Pathology program;
  • Registered with the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA)
  • Experience completing speech and language assessments and recommendations for school-aged youth with speech, behaviour, literacy, and language disorders or difficulties; providing consultation to students, parents, and staff
  • Fluency in the French Language would be an asset.
  • Recent experience in being part of a multidisciplinary diagnostic team for FASD would be an asset
  • Recent experience providing support and programming in assistive technology would be an asset


Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence


Job Requirements:

  • This position works onsite in an office environment
  • Travel within Yukon both urban and rural
