This posting will be used to fill 1 (one) term full-time position working 75 hours bi-weekly to September 30, 2025. It will establish a 6-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.

This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon.

Our team

Population and Public Health, Evidence and Evaluation (PPHEE) team, part of the Innovation, Quality and Performance division, brings together a strong and coordinated team skilled at using data and local evidence collaboratively to support policy and decision making with the goal of improving the health and wellbeing of all Yukoners.,

Your role

This position is responsible for policy development related to access, use and sharing of data. Part of the focus will be to apply a research lens to policy development work. The position will also the Yukon government representative on several Health Data Research Network (HRDN) working groups and will work closely with the Yukon Strategy for patient Oriented Research support Unit (YSPOR) at Yukon U.

Essential qualifications

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Post-secondary degree in Public Administration, Social or Health Sciences, Data Science or a related field;
  • Experience working with data and data management principles, including awareness of privacy and access to information regulations;
  • Experience researching, assessing, and developing policy options and coordinating policy processes, ideally within a government context; and
  • Experience conducting research activities aimed at generating new knowledge, advancing understanding, or solving complex problems would be considered an asset.
