This posting will be used to fill 1 permanent full-time positions working 75 bi-weekly. It will establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.

This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon.

Who we are
Population and Public Health, Evidence and Evaluation (PPHEE) team, part of the Innovation, Quality and Performance division, brings together a strong and coordinated team skilled at using data and local evidence collaboratively to support policy and decision making with the goal of improving the health and wellbeing of all Yukoners.

Who we are looking for
We are seeking a highly skilled individual with exceptional oral and written communication abilities, adept at conveying complex information effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and a solid background in health and health system data. Proficiency in manipulating and linking large, intricate datasets is essential. Familiarity with advanced statistical analysis techniques, particularly in a healthcare context, is highly desirable. A passion for continuous learning and a willingness to embrace new technologies are key attributes we value.

Essential qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Post Secondary education in Computer Science, Health Information Science, Business, Statistics or related field;
  • Experience using one or more programming languages such as; R, SQL, HTML, Crystal Reports, ASP, or Other languages;
  • Experience in application design, development and implementation of medium to large database projects; and
  • Experience working with advanced statistical analysis techniques and concepts, and applying them to data sets, ideally in a Health environment.
