General Surgeon - Locum

Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) SE network 4 - Yorkton is seeking a team orientated and professional locum General Surgeon to provide emergency on-call coverage at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre the following dates:
• May 13 @ 0800 – May 21 @0800
• June 3 @ 0800 – June 10 @ 0800
• June 24 @ 0800 – July 1 @ 0800

Locum Remuneration

Daily Rate: $2,306/24 hour day of on call services. Clinic work is not required, but can be accommodated.

On Call: payments per the SECP for days covered (submitted and paid quarterly)

Accommodations: Provided.

Mileage: $0.51/km for 1 return trip per locum assignment.

Travel Time: $20/hour for 1 return trip per locum assignment

Job Qualifications

• Certified with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) in General Surgery
• Regular or Provisional License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS)
• Valid driver’s license
• Successful SHA credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector
• Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage
• Legal entitlement to work in Canada
