Job Description

We are seeking full time family physicians to work in an exciting, innovative practice which will provide health services to the communities of Unity, Wilkie and surrounding areas. This model includes coverage for the Unity and District Health Centre, which provides acute care and 24 hour emergency services.

This Physician will work closely with nurses, and other members of the health care team to meet the specific needs of this community and its surrounding area. Services will include: clinic, hospital, on call, long-term care and other duties as assigned.

Beds: 10 Acute Care, 32 Long Term Care, 3 Alternate level of care - total 45 beds.

Relocation Package

This opportunity is eligible to receive the Rural Physician Incentive Program of up to $200,000!

$15,000 Recruitment and Relocation Return of Service stipend available from Saskatchewan Health Authority for three years return of service.

Job Qualifications

This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.

To be eligible you must hold certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) or have successfully completed SIPPA and be eligible for a license to practice family medicine in Saskatchewan.

The successful applicant is expected to participate in the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs of the Department of Medicine in the North West Area.
