Job Description

The Division of Pediatric Nephrology within the Department of Pediatrics, University of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) - Saskatoon is seeking a Pediatric Nephrologist for a one year locum term commencing in the spring of 2023.

The Division of Pediatric Nephrology is composed of three nephrologists and a full team of interprofessional staff. The team includes dedicated dietitian, clinical nurse coordinators for general nephrology, dialysis (hemo- and peritoneal), and transplant care, social worker, and clinical pharmacist. The multidisciplinary team environment provides a great opportunity to develop and guide strategies for improving kidney and hypertension care for the children of Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will become a member of the Department of Pediatrics and have appointments in both the University of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Appointment with the University of Saskatchewan will be at the assistant, associate or full professor level commensurate on the candidate's qualifications.

The position will have an emphasis on patient care in the inpatient and outpatient setting. Opportunities for medical teaching are available, as medical students and residents attend clinics and patient rounds during dedicated clinical rotations. The division is proud to be part of the new Jim Pattison Children's Hospital (JPCH). The new hospital offers state-of-the-art equipment and facilities for children, mothers and families from across our province. Job Qualifications

Candidates in consideration will hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)certification or eligibility for certification in Pediatric Nephrology and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
