Job Description

Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) - Saskatoon and University of Saskatchewan, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology is seeking applications for a permanent full time Neonatologist. The Jim Pattison Children's Hospital (JPCH) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a 48 single room unit that provides patient care to a range of infants, including extremely premature to infants with surgical problems. The JPCH NICU has a wide catchment area providing services to Northern Saskatchewan. In addition, to standard level 3 newborn care, we offer a variety of active clinical programs such as point of care ultrasound, neuro-critical care and family centered care. The successful candidate will join a team of 5 full time Neonatologists, in a level 2 and 3 NICU, sharing in the clinical workload of the NICU follow up program at JPCH. In addition, the team consists of 6 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and 10 Clinical Associates.

Job Qualifications

Applicants in consideration will have certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians of Canada in both Pediatrics and NICU) and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
