This is achieved by the coordinator having an ongoing awareness and involvement in workflow of the unit. Duties include bed management, discharge planning, advocating for the patient/family, identifying supply and equipment needs and assisting with staff scheduling. Job Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing Basic Life Support (BLS) Current BLS/ACLS/CRRT Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) Experience 5 years recent Acute Care Nursing experience, 3 of which must be in the specific clinical area and/or involve Charge Nurse or coordination experience required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to adapt to changing conditions Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Advanced communication skills Advanced leadership skills Advanced mediation skills Advanced problem solving skills Other Information NOTE: This is a Provincial Posting and is open to all SUN members within the bargaining unit as per Articles 27.02 and 27.05 of the SUN Collective Bargaining Agreement.
