Job Description

Our Gynecologic Oncologists work closely with a collegial multi-disciplinary team as well as radiation and medical oncology, surgery, pathology, diagnostic imaging. Clinical service includes new patient visits/consults, medical/surgical care, follow-up visits/ongoing monitoring as well as participation in clinical trials patient enrollment. On-call and after hours care is supported by Clinical Associates and Residents. Teaching is required; (protected time is provided) and will be assigned based on an equivalent sharing principle within the provincial group. Other shared and distributed provincial activities include presentation of M&M rounds, regular attendance and participation in the provincial quality improvement committee, monthly business meetings, journal clubs, as well as provincial retreats.

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • Degree in Medicine with specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and subspecialty fellowship certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Gynecologic Oncology.
  • Work experience is an asset.
  • An interest in and/or prior experience with clinical research is considered an asset.
Credentials:
  • Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
  • Must be eligible for membership and privileges with the Saskatchewan Health Authority in Regina.
Other:
  • Criminal record check
  • CMPA Coverage or equivalent
  • Written and verbal fluency in English
  • Three references will be required (at least one from a practicing Gynecologic Oncologist)
