THE HOME CARE NURSE IS IN CHARGE OF NURSING ASSESSMENT AND DELIVERY FOR CLIENTS. Job Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing Basic Life Support (BLS) Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) Valid Class 5 driver's license Experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: �Excellent assessment skills; the multidisciplinary team depends on the nurse�s assessment skills when making decisions for the plan of care. �Critical thinking skills, clear and concise communication skills, and a professional knowledge base to support ethical decision-making, ability to work independently. �A demonstrated ability to meet and work with clients, utilizing sound judgment, tact, initiative, high standards of integrity and responsibility. �Ability to manage crisis with flexibility, tact, and skill. �Ability to work cooperatively with other professionals and the general public. �Demonstrated commitment to professional growth QUALIFICATIONS: �Graduation from an approved School of Nursing; a Baccalaureate degree is preferred. �Two years recent experience in Home Care; additional palliative education is an asset; �Eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association/ Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan; �Possess a current and valid Saskatchewan Driver�s license and ability to travel extensively; Additional Information Shifts (days, evenings, nights) including actual hours, date of commencement and temporary end dates are for informational purpose only and may be subject to change. The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check (VSC) is required for individuals providing patient/resident/client care to vulnerable persons.
