Family Practice - Anesthesia (Fee for Service)

Job Description

The Humboldt Medical Clinic, located one hour East of Saskatoon, is seeking a Family Medicine Physician with Enhanced Anesthesia Skills to provide anesthesiology, ER and family medicine services within the community. A typical week would include 2-3 days in the OR, 2-3 days in the clinic and one ER shift. Anesthesia call covers epidurals along with ER support for conscious sedation's, airway support and ventilation support/running the ventilator.

Humboldt is an excellent location to practice with a great core physician group, many itinerant physicians and expanding OR services.

This position is open until filled and may be filled prior to the posted closing date.

Relocation Package

The successful candidate may be eligible for:

• The Rural Physician Incentive Program (RPIP) which provides up to $200,000 over five years to family physicians practicing, or returning to practice, in rural and remote communities in Saskatchewan
• The SMA Retention Fund, which provides financial reward to physicians who practice in the province for extended periods ranging from $3,500 - $7,000

Job Qualifications

The successful candidate must have:

• Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS)
• Training in Family Medicine Enhanced Anesthesia Skills (CCFP FPA) or equivalent as accepted by CPSS
• Membership and insurance with the Canadian Medical Protective Association
• Valid driver's license
• Acceptable Criminal Record Check (including vulnerable sector check) and references
• Current, valid legal entitlement to work in Canada
