Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime hours
Status: Permanent, full time
Location: 600 De Maisonneuve blvd. west, Montreal

The team member will be required to travel to the various sites of our clients for various mandates and also to the clinic located in downtown and Greater Montreal (south shore and north shore). The position requires access to a car and a valid driver's license.

  • The incumbent will join a team of specialists in workplace medicine. Working in close cooperation with client-driven professionals, you will provide patients with a meaningful experience by demonstrating empathy, discretion and professionalism. As a company nurse, you will work in tandem with the team's physician and administrative staff, filling a hybrid role that combines clinical care, vaccinations and the regular review of medical records. To properly execute your stated tasks, you will need excellent clinical judgment and analytical skills, as well as a logical and critical approach.

Here's how


Clinical medical tasks

  • Courteously and professionally case-manage patients as of the time they report for an appointment
  • Keep examination rooms clean and functional at all time
  • Administer and explain the various medical tests (audiogram, drug screening, vision tests, ECG at rest and the like)
  • Draw blood samples from patients and perform any other tests required by the protocols, follow physicians' indications and comply with their special requests
  • Act on vaccination recommendations, update and document any programs associated with vaccinations required by protocols and recommendations of the PIQ

Administrative medical tasks

  • Follow up closely on medical records in accordance with their inherent priority
  • Review medical records for quality and accuracy based on medical results and/or industry standards as applicable
  • Provide medical follow-up for certain patients as per the physician's request or as required by the patient's medical condition
  • Maintain professional expertise in keeping with industry standards and the keep up with monthly updates from the PIQ

Qualifications

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

  • DEC (DCS) in nursing care or bachelor's degree
  • O.I.I.Q. membership
  • Access to a car and valid driver's license
  • Minimum 2 years' relevant experience as a nurse
  • Spoken and written bilingualism (essential)
  • Interest and aptitude for patient service, with excellent communication skills
  • Capacity for working under pressure, good priority management and timeliness
  • Strong clinical judgment (critical and analytical thinking)
  • Attention to detail
  • Initiative and resourcefulness
  • Aptitude for teamwork
  • Diligence, independence and punctuality
  • Familiarity with basic computer use (Windows)
