Our team and what we'll accomplish together

As a member of our Occupational Health team, you will provide services for the on-site occupational health clinic and oversee day-to-day medical activities for ongoing wellness and health programs. Your leadership, flexibility, and positive attitude will be the cornerstone of our operational excellence.

What you'll do

  • Oversee the direct management of nursing staff within the Occupational Health Clinic
  • Manage personnel, including selection, training, performance monitoring, and evaluation
  • Plan schedules, manage staff absences, ensure smooth daily operations and optimal service delivery
  • Foster an enthusiastic and positive culture within the clinic while ensuring that all employees are treated respectfully and given the opportunity to succeed
  • Act as a resource for the team in addressing difficulties and promoting professional growth
  • Collaborate with client management to drive improvement and integrate best practices
  • Provide a range of occupational health care services related to health surveillance, prevention and early intervention
  • Facilitate and participate in team meetings, including case reviews and weekly meetings
  • Review and manage return-to-work case management for both work and non-work related injuries and illnesses, in collaboration with the Medical Director
  • Perform various health surveillance program activities, such as spirometry, audiometry, ECG, and vision screening as needed to support the clinic workflow
  • Support the development & implementation of health and wellbeing program elements at the request of the client

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in British Columbia, or eligible for registration
  • Completion of an accredited Occupational Health Nursing program, (or experience in Occupational Health considered)
  • Certified Audiometric Technician from an approved agency recognized in BC, or eligible to complete the training
  • Certified Spirometry Technician, recent experience in performing spirometry, or eligible to complete the training
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and organizational skills including task prioritization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic filing

Great-to-haves

  • Certification of Advanced First Aid (OFA3) Workplace First Aid
  • Experience in use of electronic medical record platform(s)
  • Experience with complex case management
  • Experience in remote occupational health settings an asset
  • Experience in personnel management an asset
  • Current CPR, ACLS, ITLS certifications an asset
