This is a hybrid position based out of our Toronto Support Centre and reports to the Director, IT Operations. The Manager, IT Security should have a strong technical background in systems and network security, along with excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.

In this role, you will

  • Lead and oversee the implementation of dentalcorp's cybersecurity strategy, ensuring alignment with Canadian cyber security laws and standards
  • Manage a team of cybersecurity professionals
  • Participate in risk assessments and audits alongside the team to identify vulnerabilities
  • Lead the cyber incident response and remediation of security breaches
  • Contribute to the security of cloud services and network infrastructure
  • Rollout enhanced firewalls and improved security to our practices
  • Develop new and review existing SOPs for security incidents
  • Implement and oversee dentalcorp's IDPS
  • Lead enhancements to the SIEM and development of SOAR
  • Continually improve dentalcorp's security posture

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Security management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including network, security, and data management
  • Professional certifications are an asset
  • Familiarity with audit frameworks (SOC 2, PCI) are an asset
  • Previous software administration for EDR, DLP, SIEM, and email security are an asset
  • Familiarity with PIPEDA, HIPAA, CASL or equivalent are an asset
  • Exposure to forensic toolkits with a particular emphasis on IT-related knowledge
  • Strong understanding of network design, tiered and secure architectures
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
  • Ability to influence and discuss complex technology problems in business language
  • Must be an excellent and polished communicator
