FIREFLY is seeking a regular full time Family Resource Coordinator at our Sioux Lookout EarlyON Child and Family Centre. The Family Resource Coordinator will assess the needs of the community and develop services and programs to meet the needs of children 0 to 6 years of age and their families. This will include providing resources, mentoring, and support services with an emphasis on child development and parenting. Also, serve as a liaison between the Agency and its partners.


Key Job Functions:

  • Ensure the program requirements are adhered to and necessary program and agency documentation is maintained
  • Implement suitable programming to reflect the needs of the community
  • Oversee the purchasing of resources in keeping with the program budget
  • Prepare a monthly newsletter and schedule of events
  • Participate in community initiatives where appropriate

Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Early Childhood Education Diploma or equivalent education
  • Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Knowledge of child and family development
  • Experience working with children and families/caregivers from diverse cultures
