DEPARTMENT: DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING
POSITION: SENIOR MAMMO/OBSP TECHNOLOGIST
PERMANENT FULL TIME
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Performs diagnostic/OBSP procedures, working within scope of practice, maintaining patient confidentiality. Undertakes all associated quality assurance procedures to maintain the service at the standard.
Provides clinical leadership with respect to Mammo/OBSP by
∙Supporting daily operations
∙Providing technical supervision and expertise
∙Supporting clinical competency and excellence
∙Supporting technologists to adhere to professional Standards of Practice.
∙Other duties in DI as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/SPECIFIC TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
∙Must be registered with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario as a Medical Radiation Technologist
∙Successful completion of Breast Imaging 1 and Breast Imaging 2 courses
∙Current CPR

∙Operation of Mammo/OBSP imaging equipment as used in clinical application situations.
∙Performance of procedures to competency, certification and professional practice standards.

Previous Experience Requirements:
∙At a minimum, 3 years’ experience performing a variety of Mammo/OBSP imaging procedures
∙Experience with Meditech and GE Centricity PACS
∙Current CPR
