Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI) provides trauma-informed and highly specialized services for children and youth of Ontario who experience complex and long-standing combinations of mental health difficulties and/or developmental challenges where these difficulties significantly impact functioning in multiple areas such as home, school and community and appropriate community interventions have not produced the desired response. CPRI provides services that are based on a partnership model with community service providers. Our services include Assessment, Consultation, Treatment, Research and Education in both outpatient and inpatient services.

CPRI is seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician to join our multi-disciplinary team of professionals and provide pharmaceutical services.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will provide technical assistance and support to the Pharmacist in the following:

• Medication selection and preparation for dispensing
• Inventory management
• Quality assurance
• Administrative functions
• Systems maintenance functions

How do I qualify?

Mandatory

• You are a registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists

Knowledge and Experience

• You have experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
• You have knowledge of pharmacy legislation, regulations, guidelines of practice, medication distribution processes, pharmaceutical calculations and inventory management practices (selecting and preparing medications for dispensing)
• You are proficient in using pharmacy software systems, such as integrated data management, for reporting and dispensing

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

• You have excellent oral and written communication skills to prepare pharmacy information, communicate with internal and external contacts, compose or edit pharmacy documentation, and prepare correspondence
• You can work independently as well as within a professional team

Organizational and Problem Solving Skills

• You can respond to workload priority changes and peak output periods to ensure proper stock levels and quantities for optimal operation, and when updating pharmacy records in accordance with regulatory standards
• You can update invoice/order and correct discrepancies
