The Role:

We are currently adding a knowledgeable in-shop technician to our team in Kitchener. You will be trained on the tools you will be working with and the equipment you will be repairing. This is a busy and vital role in our warehouse. The main function of this role is to stage, build, and set-up mobility and evaluation equipment.

How you will spend your days:

  • Diagnose and repair. You will quickly learn how to repair wheelchairs and custom mobility equipment and how to navigate our software system. You will assess issues with manual and power devices, troubleshoot batteries and functionality, and repair equipment.
  • Clean and organize. You will clean and organize equipment in the warehouse, and stage equipment in designated areas. Pick components and prepare wheelchairs for assembly and assess equipment for quality and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with teams. You will work closely with others on the production team and in the warehouse to ensure daily tasks are complete. You will perform quality control checks to ensure mobility equipment was put together accurately and safely for our clients

What you bring:

  • Technical Skills. You have previous experience with electrical, mechanical or manufacturing diagnostic tools. Knowledge of HME (Home Medical Equipment), elevating, mobility products would be considered an asset.
  • Analytical skills. An avid troubleshooter, you are innovative and efficient in your approach to solving problems.
  • Willingness to learn. You thrive in an environment where you work with your hands and are able to pick up new skills quickly. Through mentorship and training, we will provide you with all the tools and resources to be successful as our new technician.
  • Additional must have requirements. You are able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds in order to move or repair equipment and devices. You have a clean criminal background check and are bondable.
