Position: Continuous Quality/Restorative Manager

Responsibilities
  • Develop restorative programs for the residents.
  • Directs the Activity Aides with the restorative programs they will lead i.e., exercise group.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Care with program development and quality indicators.
  • Member of the Falls Committee.
  • Establish in collaboration with Nursing the QlP, submit improvement targets and initiatives
  • Manage the Health & Safety Committee
  • Manage the Emergency Preparedness Program, coordinate monthly emergency drills and table talks.
  • Accreditation Lead
  • Education coordinator roles.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary diploma or Degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, physiotherapy or other related field from a community College or University.
  • Experience in long term care in developing/ leading programs for residents with varied physical and cognitive ability.
  • Experience in PCC, Surge Learning, Activity Pro and Health & Safety would be considered as an asset.
  • Knowledge of community resources within the service area and able to relate to them in a professional manner.
  • Commitment to ongoing education to meet resident's needs and legislative requirements.
  • Must have strong computer skills and knowledge with technology in programming for virtual or remote communications such as Zoom, Skype, Facetime, using different devices.
