About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Rural Health, the Site Lead / Health services Manager is responsible for the management and operations of the Inpatient Nursing Unit and Emergency Room Services. The Site Lead / Health services Manager works with other Program managers to provide day to day supervision and integration of other clinical and support services at this site. The Site Lead / Health services Manager will provide administrative leadership and management and ensures excellent client/patient centered services. The Site Lead / Health services Manager leads and implements quality improvement initiatives with attention to patient safety, healthy workplace and financial initiatives. The position requires an individual with strong leadership skills, and the ability to work in and support a team approach to patient services in a multi-disciplinary environment. The Site Lead / Health services Manager will have proven skills in human resources and financial management, and demonstrated ability to foster collaborative working relationships with community partners and system stakeholders.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing is required
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Active registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
  • Proven leadership skills, in particular, the initiative and vision to continue the advancement of rural health
  • Minimum of three years relevant health services management experience including human resources, labour relations, financial planning, change management, program
  • Planning/evaluation and quality improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Strong collaborative and partnership skills
  • Demonstrated interest and proof of continuing education/professional growth.
  • Competence in word processing, email, and presentation skills
  • Valid Driver's license and access to reliable transportation
  • The ability to work flexible hours and ability to travel as part of position requirements
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent, Full-Time Position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly

Compensation and Incentives

$45.45 - $60.39 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
