About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Infection Prevention & Control and in collaboration with Medical Directors of Infection Prevention and Control and the program leadership team , the Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of core IPAC services, standards, guidelines and best practices to improve the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of all aspects of a comprehensive and provincially integrated Infection Control Program to achieve the best outcomes in health care program and service delivery, safe care and continuous improvement to meet or exceed all accreditation requirements and legislative requirements. The Senior Analyst supports, coordinates and works collaboratively with others and makes recommendations related to policy, planning and accountability frameworks within IPAC and contributes to quality improvement initiatives. The Senior Analyst is responsible to support all aspects of developing, implementing, and monitoring of IPAC program operational and strategic plans.

The Senior Analyst assists in designing a provincially integrated IPAC program and in the developing strategic and operational plans that support excellence in service delivery, and achievement of standards of care established by NSH, the Department of Health and Wellness, and other relevant bodies.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in health related discipline
  • Project management training and experience
  • Master's Degree in Epidemiology an asset
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Infection Prevention and Control an asset
  • Minimum five years of relevant senior leadership experience with progressive accountabilities for development of core services, standards, guidelines and best practices
  • Excellent leadership, organizational and decision skills and ability to meet deadlines a fast paced environment
  • Expert knowledge to critically analyse scientific and literature related to evidence-based approaches to inform policy development, organizational planning, and quality improvement initiatives within IPAC
  • Demonstrated strategic planning and systems thinking abilities
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Project management skills and demonstrated ability to create and lead work teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading complex change.
  • Excellent knowledge of quality improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence.
  • Experience and demonstrated expertise with in data management and data analysis; excellent report writing and presentation skills; proficient application of word processing, excel, database, PowerPoint and graphics software required
  • Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent, full-time position, 75 hrs bi-weekly

Compensation and Incentives

$36.33 - $45.42 Hourly
