Who you are

You have a worked in a senior pharmacy leadership role for a minimum of five years. You have experience in managing pharmacy systems and personnel including project management and program planning. You have an intermediate proficiency level in Microsoft Office applications.

You possess an entry-to-practice degree in Pharmacy, (e.g., Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy) or diploma from accredited pharmacy technician program and are licensed to practice in New Brunswick or eligible for licensure with the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists. Consideration will be given to those with advanced studies in a related healthcare field.

You are willing and able to travel throughout the province and possess a valid New Brunswick Driver's License.

You can write and speak English at an advanced level of competency.

What you will do

The Director, Pharmacy Operations and Informatics will be joining our team at a very exciting time in our organization with a multi-year project to renovate and modernize our main pharmacies and compounding areas including our outpatient oncology clinic pharmacies. Horizon is also a key partner in provincial initiatives to replace existing automated dispensing cabinets in our facilities and to develop and implement a new integrated clinical information system across our organization.

The Director, Pharmacy Operations and Informatics is responsible to:

  • Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of a region-wide approach to medication distribution services including management of pharmacy personnel, drug inventory, integrated information systems and equipment.
  • Plan and establish program priorities, evaluate services and outcomes, including optimal utilization of human resources to provide safe, efficient and high-quality pharmacy services
  • Communicate and collaborate within the regional department and at times involving leaders and decision-makers in other programs and departments
  • Coach, mentor and provide advice related to the operations and service delivery
