The PainCare 360 and Palliative Care Clinical Operations Manager will provide leadership to the developing program at BC Children’s Hospital, which aims to increase the capacity and augment the care for pediatric pain across the site, focusing on making comfort a priority, innovation, and continuous quality improvement. The scope of the PainCare 360 program provides direct inpatient and outpatient interdisciplinary services and guides pediatric pain evidence-based practice and knowledge translation, collaborating province-wide to promote equitable pain care for all children and youth. This role offers unique opportunities to engage with multiple programs and teams across the site, making connections, collaborating with a broad network of services, and engaging family partners, organization partnerships, and service providers in care delivery to improve practice. This position requires an experienced operational and clinical leader who demonstrates systems-level thinking, values-based leadership, and quality management and negotiation skills. Inspirational and collaborative leadership that promotes teamwork and integrated service delivery across sectors will be a vital asset for this position, as well as a demonstrated understanding of the clinical and psychosocial complexities of the population.
Job Summary:
The Manager, Clinical Services/Program Operations, reports to a Director and in co-management with a Medical Director, and provides clinical and operational leadership, management expertise and is responsible for the effective and efficient management of a designated front-line clinical patient/client care department or program that is delivered through multi-disciplinary health care team(s) in a hospital or community-based direct patient/client care setting.
The Manager creates and promotes a practice environment that is focused on evidence-based improvements to patient/client-centered care that supports opportunities for research, learning and teaching for students and staff. The Manager models joint decision-making and alignment in goals and objectives, and ensures the provision of an inter-professional work environment and care through the maintenance of working relationships and liaison with medical, professional practice, administrative and other leadership positions.

Wage: $116,591 - $167,600 /year
Location: 4500 Oak Street, Vancouver BC, V6H 2N9
