Spa Massage Therapist (Year Round)

We are looking to fill the position of Massage Therapist at Fernie Alpine Resort. Reporting to the Spa Supervisor, this position requires the ideal candidate to be a dedicated and experienced therapist, capable of creating an exceptional experience, making a significant contribution to our success in the mission to become Canada's most remarkable on-mountain lodging experiences. The successful candidate will bring a positive attitude, be teamwork-oriented, and is flexible and able to work holidays and weekends. Come join our Resort Lodging team and Experience the Ultimate. Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Duties:

• To ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
• To be a creator of exceptional spa treatments for all guests
• Proficiency in all components of massage
• Prepare and maintain treatment area supplies daily
• Ensure the privacy of each guest
• Maintain consistent spa inventory and order supplies as needed
• Properly care for equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of work area throughout the shift in a professional manner
• Perform consultation and post treatment product recommendations for each guest
• Promote and sell services and body products
• Responsible for daily POS cash outs and reconciliations
• Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
• Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
• Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
• To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

Qualifications:

• Certification in Massage Therapy required
• BC Registered Massage Therapist designation a strong asset
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be willing to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• At least one year of experience in the Spa or Salon industry is preferred
