Schedule: Monday to Friday - 30 hours per week. Flexible schedule.

**Please note: This is a 12-18 month maternity leave contract. There is potential for permanent employment upon contract completion.

The wage range is from $21.25 to $28.00 per hour depending on experience. Hourly wage is determined based on work experience and will be discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the financial responsibilities of the office are met through managing accounts receivable.

  • Process insurance payments and assist patients in creating and maintaining their financial obligations.

  • Ensure Accounts Receivable totals are reviewed and maintained.

  • Receive insurance payments by direct deposit and process appropriately.

  • Process rolling file payments by credit card and send receipts as requested.

  • Review signed secondary claims and send after primary insurance payment received.

  • Follow up with insurance companies by telephone for those claims that are denied, and missing information to be processed.

  • Ensure all claims that were not sent properly or, failed to be processed, are being resent appropriately for processing.

  • Review the schedule from the day before. Ensure all payments were posted correctly, and all adjustments are correct.

  • Review next day for outstanding balances for scheduled appointments.

  • Handle any patient concerns in a calm and professional manner.

  • Create and send statements to those patients with an outstanding balance.

  • Attend to any appeals that need to be made to insurance companies.

  • Run weekly and monthly aging reports


About You:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of administration experience with a focus on financial coordinating

  • Proficient in insurance payment processing

  • Experience in managing accounts receivable

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required to communicate with insurance companies and patients

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy to ensure all claims are properly sent, processed and resubmitted if necessary

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities

  • Clinical background and experience in dental is considered an asset
