Registered Social Worker - Lethbridge, AB

We are looking for a Registered Social Worker who possesses or has strong interest in developing expertise in the areas of occupational rehabilitation, injury management, pain, chronic disease, and mental health (depression/anxiety/trauma).

As a Social Worker at CBI Health, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team that uses an integrated approach to service delivery. With a Best Practice philosophy, you will work with a variety of team members - physical therapists, psychologists, kinesiologists, vocational specialists and Physicians to achieve amazing results and impact on our clients' function.

You will be responsible for the provision of treatment services for clients with a variety of mental health and physical diagnoses. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within an interdisciplinary team with clients referred by funders such as worker's compensation, disability insurers and auto insurers.

Take an inside look at what you'll do each day

  • Apply counselling expertise through treatment planning, monitoring and reporting on client progress, while consultation being at the core of your role
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team regarding conditions that impact functional abilities, delivering on psychosocial interventions as well as discharge planning
  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based, mental health supports to clients with a variety of psychological and physical diagnoses
  • Create individualized, evidence based treatment plans to improve outcomes and satisfaction
  • Help to maximize the functional independence of clients to return to work and enhance their quality of life
  • Build and maintain strong customers relationships with clients and/or referral sources

What you will need to be successful

  • You are known for your excellent communication skills and ability to work in collaboration within an interdisciplinary team as well as work independently
  • You have experience in service delivery for clients experiencing chronic pain, concussion and/or post-traumatic stress disorder
  • You have completed a Master's degree in Social Work from a accredited University
  • You have registration in good standing with the Alberta College of Social Workers
  • You are Certified in Prolonged Exposure (PE); skilled with CBT/CPT approaches for traumatic informed care; Training in trauma interventions is considered an asset
  • You are experienced in the assessment and provision of appropriate treatment interventions with a variety of conditions that impact on overall functional abilities
  • You are familiar with the field of health and the psychosocial models of interdisciplinary care
