Find is a social enterprise with two goals: providing essential furnishings free of charge to individuals and families who are moving out of homelessness through Housing First, and supplying low-cost, quality furniture and housewares for sale to the public.
Find is looking for a passionate and excited Assistant Retail Supervisor to join our team. This position works out of Find Edmonton at 5120 122 street in Edmonton, Alberta.
Position Summary
At your core, you should be passionate about helping people. We work with a diverse group of people to help our most vulnerable friends transition out of homelessness and into their new home through the Housing First program and human connection is a must. You are an organized person that loves getting a workout in while you work. You have a great driving record and a firm understanding the roadways in Edmonton and surrounding areas. You take care of your vehicle, can pack a truck and have great attention to detail. You prioritize safety.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a passionate and organized individual with a great driving record, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the vehicle crew, loading and unloading trucks, and confirming the most effective and economical route. You will prioritize safety, provide great customer service, and have a firm understanding of the roadways in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
This role is responsible for Housing First deliveries, customer deliveries and donor pick-ups, as well as all safety aspects of the vehicle crew in the loading/unloading, securing, and safe operations of the vehicle. This includes but is not limited to:
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of commercial driving experience, solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a clear criminal record check. Experience working with vulnerable populations and navigating Edmonton and surrounding areas is an asset. You are also:
