Sessional Appointment Openings - Summer 2024
Position Type: Term Certain < 12 months
Education Required: Registration as Psychologist in Province of Alberta (Masters Degree)

The Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary invites applications for term certain Sessional Appointment, Counsellor position for the Summer 2024 term in the Centre for Wellbeing in Education Clinic. Sessional Appointment, Counsellor will provide oversight of psycho-educational assessments and supervision for the clinic student clinicians in the Centre for Wellbeing in Education clinic.

This term runs from: June 24 - August 25, 2024

The Centre for Wellbeing in Education clinic offers high-quality psychoeducational assessments and intervention programs to support the educational and psychological well-being of children and adolescents.

Position Minimum Requirements

  • Master's degree in School and Applied Child Psychology or Clinical Psychology
  • Current Professional designation as a Registered Psychologist is a requirement.
  • 3-5 years related experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of people using an intersectional lens.
  • Knowledge and understanding of educational context are preferred.
  • 5+ years psycho-educational assessment experience with children, youth, and transition-age youth (ages 4-25)
