Position Summary Russell Tobin is seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) assignments across British Columbia. This opportunity offers the chance to work in acute care hospital settings, providing high-quality patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve positive patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to patients within Medical-Surgical units. Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in health status. Administer medications, treatments, and prescribed therapies within LPN scope of practice. Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Provide wound care, dressing changes, and post-operative care. Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Educate patients and families regarding treatments and recovery plans. Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed clinical documentation. Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and organizational policies and procedures. Qualifications Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Minimum of one year of recent Medical-Surgical, Acute Care, or Hospital nursing experience. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Strong clinical assessment, organization, and patient care skills. Experience with medication administration, wound care, and post-operative patient care. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
