Travel RN – Correctional Health ( Facility, BC) Russell Tobin is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) for a travel opportunity within a correctional facility in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. We are looking for nurses with strong acute care and mental health experience who can thrive in a dynamic, community-based correctional healthcare environment. ⚠️ Role Overview Deliver primary, urgent, and emergency nursing care Perform comprehensive nursing assessments Administer medications and treatments per protocols Support mental health and substance use care Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams Maintain accurate EMR documentation Ensure safe, ethical, patient-centered care Contract Details Start Dates: June 15 – August 3, 2026 June 22 – August 31, 2026 Preference for candidates who can complete the full contract Previous correctional experience is an asset Schedule 12-hour and varied shifts, including: Overtime opportunities available Schedules may vary based on operational needs Work Environment Community-based correctional healthcare (no inpatient beds) Primary care Urgent/emergency response Mental health & substance use Requirements Active RN license in British Columbia (BCCNM) Minimum 1+ year acute care + mental health experience Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification CPIC (Vulnerable Sector Check) Two professional references Up-to-date immunization records OFA2 (Intermediate First Aid) preferred Travel Preference for candidates able to drive to assignment Compensation Pay Rate: CAD$49-CAD$58/hour Overtime:1.5x standard overtime Stat Holidays: 2x pay (minimum 2 hours) Training Rate: $32/hour (up to 20 hours pre-onboarding) Additional Details Free on-site parking available Staff break room with basic amenities Nearby grocery and food options are accessible Bi-weekly invoicing cycle Why Join?
