We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the University Hospital of Northern BC. In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Patient Care Coordinator, facilitates the delivery of the admission/discharge and transfer processes at UHNBC. The position requires in depth of knowledge of nursing theory, expert skills in nursing practice, communication, understanding and the ability to incorporate clinical skills to make appropriate decisions in the best interests of the patients and the hospital. This role will promote the efficient allocation and utilization of beds throughout UHNBC to support patients being in the appropriate area of care, receiving the highest quality of service. This position revolves around the ability to communicate with the necessary parties to problem solve the most efficient and effective solution to patient placement. The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the operations of the Hospital in the absence of managers, department heads and senior administrative personnel.
