About the role
Education: Bachelor's degree. Tasks: Advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage. Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals. Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies. Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication. Check prescriptions for proper dosage. Hire and train staff. Maintain medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs. Manage the storage, packaging and distribution of medicinal products . Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians and other staff. Control the quality of drug products during production to ensure that they meet standards of potency, purity, uniformity, stability and safety. Evaluate labelling, packaging and advertising of drug products. Record delivery of registered mail. Screening questions: Do you have the required certifications listed in the job posting?.
