Flight Registered Nurse (F-RN) About SkyCare:SkyCare is on a mission to provide life-saving and essential air travel services across North America. Our Medical staff are certified and work under ORNGE's Base Hospital, an industry leader in Transport Medicine, as well as SkyCare?s own Medical Director. We provide our Air Ambulance services across three bases in Ontario: Kitchener, Thunder Bay and Sioux Lookout.SkyCare utilizes two different aircraft to accommodate the diverse needs of its patients. Our Metro aircraft are among the largest and most capable Air Ambulance platforms in the provincial system, providing bariatric and true team transport capabilities. We also utilize a Westwind Jet with best-in-class range, enabling nonstop transcontinental flights and making it an excellent tool for long-haul transfers.In addition to various levels of care, we also specialize in different team transports, including NICU, ECMO, and others, as they become available for air transport.SkyCare also provides private repatriation, bringing patients home from domestic destinations or international destinations in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.Why Work at SkyCare:The combination of non-emergent and emergent inter-facility hospital transfers allows for a diverse workday. Position Summary:The Flight Registered Nurse (F-RN) is a highly skilled critical care nurse certified to practice in an aeromedical environment. The F-RN functions both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary air medical crew, including paramedics, physicians, communications specialists, and pilots.This role is responsible for providing advanced clinical care to critically ill pediatric and adult patients during air transport, ensuring safe and effective patient outcomes in a dynamic out-of-hospital environment.Key Responsibilities:Deliver high-quality critical care nursing in aeromedical transport settingsProvide comprehensive patient care during transport accordance with Provincial standardsPerform advanced nursing interventions within scope of practice and Base Hospital directivesCollaborate effectively with flight crew, paramedics, and dispatch teamsEnsure patient safety during all phases of air medical transportAdhere to SkyCare standards and policies, ORNGE Base Hospital standards, MOH Ontario guidelines, and CNO regulationsParticipate in continuous training, simulation, and competency maintenanceMaintain readiness for rapid deployment and 24/7 operational requirements Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)Minimum 3 years of rec
