What We Do: Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) supports over 42,000 kids and youth with disabilities and other developmental needs. We provide intake, service navigation and coordinated service planning, assessment and diagnostic services, specialized clinics and rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech language therapy.
Funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, CTN is an Ontario provincial government funded not-for profit organization, that offers services through contracted partners in the education, health and community sectors. What You Will Do: CTN is seeking a full-time Supervisor, Programs & Services for a 12 month contract, with the potential for a long-term extension. The Supervisor will provide leadership to and oversee the day-to-day operation of CTN’s Intake Services program. The role supports the Manager, Intake Services in system development, service delivery and coordination, service monitoring, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement. The role provides leadership to diverse teams performing administrative, clinical, non-clinical and/or program coordination roles including Team Assistants and/or Service Navigators. This position reports to the Manager, Intake Services.
Responsibilities: The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Leadership Responsibilities Working in partnership with the Manager, Intake Services, the Supervisor, Programs and Services will: Recruit, train, supervise, and support direct reports, including performance appraisals and professional development planning Monitor team performance, workload, and productivity; provide coaching, feedback, and guidance as required Lead and facilitate regular team meetings Oversee employee schedules and leave requests, including vacation, sick time, and other leaves Ensure team adherence to CTN policies, procedures, and standard operating practices
Operational Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day operations of the Intake Services team, ensuring effective, consistent, and high-quality service delivery Ensure services are grounded in CTN’s pillars of clinical service delivery, including family-centred service, integrated service, solution-focused coaching, and the F-Words of Child Development Respond to operational, clinical and/or service-related questions, concerns, and issues; escalate to the appropriate Manager, as required Monitor and analyze program-level metrics related to daily operations, service quality and customer service to support daily operational planning and ensure alignment with CTN standards Coordinate and supervise daily departmental activities including developing program schedules, assigning and monitoring work, implementing productivity standards, resolving operational issues, maintaining reference materials and overseeing implementation of new processes Support evaluation, outcome measurement, and continuous quality improvement activities Support the implementation of change initiatives by reinforcing new practices and processes across the team Support management of complaints and quality issues in collaboration with the Manager Intake Services, CTN program leadership and/or Client Experience Specialist/Specialty Team Facilitator Complete other duties and projects as assigned
Network and Community Responsibilities Work collaboratively with CTN employees, service provider organizations and community partners to support effective service delivery and positive outcomes for kids, youth, and families Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including service provider organizations, school boards, and community agencies Liaise with service provider organization and community leadership to address day-to-day operational matters Share issues, themes, and feedback with the Manager, Intake Services to inform service planning and network discussions Participate in and lead network committees, working groups, and service planning initiatives as assigned Support network learning and capacity-building activities, including the use of CTN tools and resources Remain current on best practices, trends, and emerging issues relevant to clinical services funded by CTN, the Network and families served
Health and Safety Responsibilities Take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of clients, themselves and other workers at CTN; and report situations related to health and safety to the Manager. Ensure legal compliance to the Employee Standards Act of Ontario, Ontario Health & Safety Act, and other regulations and best practices; Other duties and projects as required.
What We Need: A minimum of a four-year university level degree in Healthcare, Social Service, or equivalent is required Minimum of five (5) years of pediatric experience in the healthcare, education or social service sector is required Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience is preferred Must be a current member in good standing with the appropriate regulatory college, as applicable Demonstrated leadership, coaching, collaboration and facilitation skills Commitment to and expertise in facilitating the professional growth and development of self and others Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record/Health Record systems and client documentation A strong understanding of inter-professional practice and experience in collaborative network delivery models and CTN’s 4 pillars of clinical service delivery: family centred service, integrated service, solution focused coaching and the F Words of Child Development Demonstrated business professionalism with respect to confidentiality, good judgement, discretion and accountability Demonstrated experience in supporting program implementation, project coordination and quality improvement Demonstrates creativity, systems thinking and solution-oriented mindset in day-to-day work Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills including strong oral and written communication and presentation abilities Demonstrated ability to navigate, simplify, and support improvement of complex operational or service delivery processes. Ability to implement change and to foster an environment which promotes personal accountability Sound knowledge of technology and relevant software programs Working knowledge of relevant legislation and professional college guidelines, service and system integration and inter-professional practice literature and program and system evaluation Ability to work flexible hours in support of requirements that may fall outside of the typical work hour framework Knowledge of the children’s service systems in Simcoe County, Toronto and York Region considered an asset Ability to communicate in French or other languages considered an asset Experience with and understanding of various cultures and cultural communities including Francophone, First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities considered an asset Certified First Aid considered an asset Demonstrated commitment to a safe environment for staff, clients, and families by working in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related policies Ability to travel to assigned office, between CTN sites and/or other locations as required
Selected Successful Candidate Will Be Required To: Produce a clear police record check with a vulnerable sector check prior to start of employment Be able to travel to assigned office, between CTN sites and/or other locations as required Maintain the ability to work effectively in a temporary hybrid environment and have access to appropriate internet capacity Any candidate being considered for employment at Children’s Treatment Network (“CTN”) must be able to provide supporting documentation to confirm their eligibility to legally work within Canada. Proof of eligibility includes but is not limited to a social insurance number (SIN), Canadian birth certificate, passport, citizenship certificate, permanent residence card, open work permit, or valid receipt from Immigration Canada of an application for a post-graduate work permit.
Office Location: Richmond Hill or Barrie Starting Salary: $99,481 Salary Range: $99,481 - $110,534 CTN’s total rewards package includes competitive compensation, optional participation in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), vacation pay entitlement, and the opportunity for hybrid work (*position specific).
