Job Description Valley Regional Hospital is seeking a full-time adult psychiatrist to join the day hospital on a 0.5 full time equivalency (FTE) basis as well as work 0.5 FTE in the community adult outpatient services. The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative community adult outpatient team as well as provide psychiatric care along with social worker, occupational therapist, recreation therapy and nurses in the Valley Day Hospital. The psychiatry service supports rural satellite clinics for mental health and addictions, seniors mental health, community outreach teams, clozapine, and depot clinics, consult services for adults with neurodevelopmental disorders, consultation with medical units and emergency departments and full Child and Adolescent Clinical Services. This is a cohesive team with members from diverse backgrounds dedicated to providing quality care. All specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada(RCPSC) Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), or proof of alternative coverage.
