We are a locally-owned independent pharmacy and our goal is to offer personalized and expert care to each of our patients.
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Pharmacy Assistant to join our team
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Answer phone inquiries and provide information on prescription status, and general pharmacy services.
- Assist in the preparation of prescription medications .
- Ensure accurate labeling, packaging, and proper storage of medications.
- Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and restocking medications and supplies.
- Rotate stock and check for expired products to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain and update patient profiles and prescription records.
- Handle and maintain confidential patient information in compliance with privacy regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant is required.
- Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and standards in Ontario.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with pharmacy software systems.
- Knowledge of prescription drug names and their uses is an asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
