REGISTERED NURSE (RN), MENTAL HEALTH & SUBSTANCE USE WITHDRAWAL MANAGEMENT

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team in Terrace.
In accordance with the established mission, vision, values and strategic priorities of Northern Health, the Inpatient Substance Use Withdrawal Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Reporting to the Withdrawal Management Unit Program Lead or designate and working collaboratively and in partnership with the multidisciplinary care team and partners, the nurse engages in the provision of holistic, person-centered, and recovery-oriented care. Through assessment and monitoring of each client, the nurse, in partnership with the patient/family and care team develops a plan of personal care and intervention to assist the individual in managing the medical symptoms of substance abuse withdrawal.
This is not Seven Sisters Tertiary MHSU, it is located as a stand-alone service at Seven Sister Withdrawal Management.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (rotating)
A first in Canada: minimum Nurse-to-Patient Ratios (mNPR) are starting in B.C.! Northern Health, along side other health authorities, is implementing mNPR as a transformative staffing solution that aims to improve the working environment of nurses in order to provide better quality care to our patients.
