The Department of Health is responsible for health services and social programming in Nunavut. Staff at the Department of Health work to improve the health and well-being of Nunavummiut by addressing the differing needs of each community through culturally appropriate programs and services.
Reporting to the Territorial Health Education Manager, the Clinical Nurse Educator works with nursing service managers to identify nursing competencies in all areas of nursing services (medical, surgical, pediatric, obstetric, emergency, ambulatory, operating room nursing services), assisting managers with the assessment of nursing practices, identify learning need providing clinical expertise, and teaching and/or coordinating teaching orientation.
