Special Needs School Bus Driver Calgary, Alberta | Part-Time, School Year | Monday–Friday

Make a Difference Every Day Every day, you'll do more than drive a bus. You'll help students with disabilities arrive safely, confidently, and ready to learn, while building real relationships with the students and families you serve. What You'll Do: Safely transport students with disabilities to and from school Build positive, professional relationships with students, families, and school staff Create a calm, safe, and supportive environment on your bus Assist students with boarding, seating, and securing mobility devices as needed Complete daily vehicle pre-trip inspections Follow established routes and schedules using GPS and communication technology Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of your assigned vehicle, including washing, fueling, and delivering it for scheduled maintenance

What You'll Need: Minimum 3 years of winter driving experience Full Monday–Friday availability, both AM and PM (6:30–9:30 am and 1:30–4:30 pm) A valid Class 5 (non-GDL) Alberta driver's licence or higher Ability to secure parking for the small school bus at or near your home (we'll walk you through what qualifies) Comfort with light physical duties, such as assisting students on/off the bus and securing mobility equipment A clear driver's abstract, criminal record check, and vulnerable sector check Completion of drug testing Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
