Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, a collaborative team player, and has a genuine passion for animals and client care.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Client communication
- Patient intake and initial assessments
- Placing IV catheters and collecting blood/samples
- Taking radiographs (X-rays)
- Preparing and administering medications and vaccines
- Surgical preparation and anesthetic monitoring (pre-op, intra-op, and post-op)
- Assisting veterinarians during surgical/dental procedures
- Conducting in-house lab testing (blood, urine, cytology)
- Educating clients on medication use, home care, and preventive care
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
- Performing minor procedures such as nail trims, ear cleanings, anal gland expressions, suture removal, and bandage changes
- Managing clinic inventory including medications and supplies
- Supporting veterinary office assistants with daily operations

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Veterinary Technology program
- Current registration and active license with the BCVTA
