Job Purpose
The Community Support Worker, Program Manager will be responsible for the implementation, delivery, ongoing management, and continuous improvement of Oxford International Education Group's Community Support Worker Program in British Columbia. The Program Manager will oversee program operations, instructional delivery, curriculum quality, student success, practicum coordination, and regulatory compliance while working collaboratively with academic and administrative teams.
The Program Manager will provide leadership to instructors and support staff within the program, ensuring the curriculum is delivered with integrity, consistency, and alignment to provincial standards, industry expectations, and institutional quality assurance requirements. The role includes teaching responsibilities, program oversight, faculty management, stakeholder engagement, regulatory compliance, and operational management.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the delivery, oversight, and continuous improvement of the Community Support Worker (CSW) program. Review, update, and maintain curriculum to ensure alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and learner outcomes. Support the development of new CSW-related programming and enhancements to existing courses. Teach within the program and support instructional excellence through effective teaching practices, learner engagement, and assessment alignment. Recruit, onboard, supervise, and evaluate instructors and program staff, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements. Oversee practicum and placement coordination to ensure students have access to quality placement opportunities that meet program needs. Collaborate with admissions, administration, career services, and external partners to support student recruitment, retention, placement capacity, and graduate outcomes. Ensure accurate documentation of curriculum, student and instructor records, and program operations in accordance with college policies and regulatory standards. Support audits, program reviews, reporting, and compliance activities related to private career college and institutional requirements. Contribute to the day-to-day management, quality assurance, staffing, budgeting, and operational planning of the program to support growth and student success.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Child & Youth Care, Psychology, Sociology, Community Rehabilitation, or related field. Master’s degree considered an asset. Post-secondary teaching certificate, adult education credential, or equivalent instructional training preferred. Current professional registration, certification, or membership with a relevant professional body is considered an asset where applicable.
Experience and knowledge
Minimum 5 years of experience in the Community Support / Social Work sector, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial capacity Minimum 2 years of post-secondary teaching experience. Experience managing or coordinating academic programs within a college, university, or private career college setting. Demonstrated experience with education regulatory bodies and accreditation standards. Proven ability to develop curriculum, assess learning outcomes, and support instructional design in education. Educational management, training, or curriculum development expertise is considered a strong asset.
Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, competency-based education, and instructional best practices Experience facilitating online, hybrid, and in-person instruction. Experience with educational technology and learning management systems (e.g., Moodle) Excellent project management, organizational and communication skills Familiarity with Canadian education systems, standards, and workplace expectations Ability to lead faculty teams, coordinate program delivery, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and educational technologies; familiarity with curriculum mapping tools an asset.
