At Michener, we make healthcare happen.If you want to lead and work with a team of professionals dedicated to the advancement of the applied health sciences and professions to enhance the health of individuals and communities in Ontario and beyond, we encourage you to apply for the Assistant Professor, Radiation Therapy position with The Michener Institute.Job DescriptionTeach assigned laboratory/practical/simulation sessions (including online course delivery) as per Michener course management policyProvide guidance and advisement to students, as requiredFoster knowledge building and transfer including practical skills, methods and techniquesChallenge thought processes, fosters collaboration, and develops the ability of students to engage in critical and rational thinkingSupervise, provide guidance and advisement, where required, for student projectsSet, mark, and assess work and examinations and provide timely and constructive feedback to studentsDetermine and submit final course gradesMaintain identified office hours for student support in the areas of remediation, advisement, and learning plan development and documentation of student progressParticipate in scholarship and research activityWillingness to complete courses in curriculum design and development as well as IPC certificateQualificationsCompletion of undergraduate degree and relevant diploma or equivalentRegistered in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of OntarioMinimum of 2 years’ experience working in the field of Radiation TherapyExperience working as a Radiation Therapist in treatment planning and/or CT-Simulation would be considered an assetCurrent membership with Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists preferredAn understanding and commitment to learning centered educationStrong organizational and leadership skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAn ability to work independently and as part of a teamSatisfactory Canadian Police Clearance document required upon hireAdditional InformationWhy join Michener?Working at The Michener Institute means that you are building a career alongside some of the most talented and inspiring healthcare professionals and educators in Canada.
