Job Overview:

The X-Ray Technologist is a multidisciplinary position that requires rotation in general radiography. Responsible to Safely execute work which includes; Enter, review, report and distribute patients’ exams in an accurate, complete, and timely manner. Appropriately positioning patients and equipment to produce high quality diagnostic images for review. Verify patient information by interviewing patient and confirming purpose of visit and ensuring all X-Ray Technologist activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner. Activities are planned, scheduled, and executed effectively and efficiently while complying with all CAO and regulatory, health, safety and environmental codes, practices, policies, and regulations.

Safety Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Ensure timely reporting and analysis of incidents, near misses, and hazards.

Performance Enter, review, report and distribute patients’ exams in an accurate, complete, and timely manner. Complete general radiography and pain management fluoroscopy procedures. Appropriately positioning patients and equipment to produce high quality diagnostic images for review. Review images and ensuring images are promptly sent to PACS to be reviewed by the radiologist. Provide patients, public, and staff radiation protection and follow the principles of As Low as Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) Verify patient information by interviewing patient and confirming purpose of visit. Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

Training Ensure the required levels of competencies are achieved by completing all required training and maintain records. Pain management training for the fluoroscopy procedures will be provided

Communication Communicate relevant support, concerns, and information with, patients, teammates, surgeons, and supervisor using the appropriate methods. Share lessons learned, best practices and cost saving initiatives to enable continuous improvement.

Leadership Actively promote and provide safe, quality patient centered care. Participate in development, verification and approval of procedures and documents. Ensure all procedures and documents are accurate, used and filed as required. Provide specific training, support and guidance to staff and students

Pay: $45.47-$51.97 per hour
