The Brand Manager position is accountable for delivering a successful launch of a new neurology asset, driving brand performance, and contributing to the growth of Merz Therapeutics’ neurology portfolio in Canada.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Launch Planning & Readiness

  • Lead the Canadian launch planning and readiness for a new neurology asset
  • Develop and execute marketing activities to support launch success
  • Manage cross-functional launch timelines, deliverables, and milestones
  • Assess the market, including patient segments, competitors, and market dynamics
  • Define field force structure, capabilities, deployment, focus, and incentives
  • Adapt global and U.S. strategies for the Canadian market
  • Develop customer engagement strategies, messaging, and launch tools

Cross-Functionality Leadership & Launch Execution

  • Align Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales, PSP, Finance, Global, and U.S. teams
  • Support pricing, reimbursement, dossier submissions, and market access strategy
  • Own HCP segmentation and targeting strategies
  • Build internal learning plans for Parkinson’s disease and other neurology assets.
  • Ensure alignment between medical and commercial strategies
  • Lead annual brand planning for neurology assets 
  • Develop patient advocacy and engagement strategies
  • Support identification and engagement of key opinion leaders
  • Evaluate external partnerships and funding requests
  • Partner with PSP stakeholders to support patient services at launch
  • Manage the brand budget and align spending to strategic priorities
  • Establish and track launch KPIs, dashboards, uptake, readiness, and performance
  • Provide regular updates on launch progress, risks, and business impact

Portfolio Brand Management

  • Support broader neurology portfolio management, including Xeomin and Fampyra

  • Develop integrated brand plans across the portfolio

  • Ensure marketing strategies comply with regulations and global guidelines

  • Identify growth opportunities and portfolio synergies

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA preferred Professional Experience

Professional Experience

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical brand management experience, ideally in specialty or neurology
  • Experience leading or supporting product launches

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and project management skills
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare system, including reimbursement pathways (CADTH, pCPA, provincial listings)
  • French proficiency is a valuable asset
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution and deliver measurable results
