GraceMed Don Mills is looking for an experienced Part-Time Nursing Supervisor, Dermatology to join our growing team. Position Details

  • Location: GraceMed Don Mills
  • Position: Part-Time, Permanent
  • Schedule: Flexible part-time hours, including evenings and Saturdays as required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Provide exceptional nursing care while assisting Dermatologists and Physicians with dermatology procedures and minor surgeries.
  • Administer local anesthetic as directed by the physician.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures while ensuring they feel informed, comfortable, and supported.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, post procedure care, skincare, and sun protection.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
  • Coordinate patient follow up, referrals, pathology reports, and communication of laboratory results.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and fully stocked examination and procedure rooms while ensuring compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the dermatology nursing team, nursing assistants, and scribes.
  • Coordinate nursing schedules and ensure appropriate clinical coverage.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and coaching new clinical team members.
  • Develop and maintain clinical Standard Operating Procedures while promoting quality improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee inventory management, medical supply ordering, and equipment maintenance.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive workplace culture focused on delivering an exceptional patient experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success and growth of the clinic.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING ALONG:

  • Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Registered Nurse (RN) designation.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • ACLS Certification is considered an asset.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience in dermatology, plastic surgery, or another procedural clinical environment is considered an asset.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Patient Management Systems (PMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A compassionate, patient-first approach and a passion for delivering outstanding care.
