Milton Eye Surgeons (MES) is an ophthalmology clinic located in Milton, Ontario. We are the premiere destination for medical and surgical eye needs in the local Halton community. We are looking to serve our patients with compassion and accessible care while delivering the latest advancements in medicine in a comfortable, safe, and modern environment.
MES endeavours to hire ophthalmic technicians to provide eye care alongside our doctors. This is an ideal opportunity for hard-working and adaptable individuals to be valuable members in a very close knit team, where everyone?s input, feedback and experience will be valued.
Position available: Casual (based on business needs) / Part-Time
What You'll Be Doing:
To provide care to patients and their families who visit the eye clinic. Specifically to perform:
- Intake / work up patients: case history, visual acuity, intra-ocular pressure.
- Intravitreal injection site preparation
- Humphrey Visual Field testing
- Lensometry and auto-refraction / Keratometry
- Optos photography | IVFA
- A/B Scan and Optical Biometry
- OCT imaging (anterior and posterior)
- Corneal topography and tomography
- Lane loading
- Other day-to-day tasks specifically opening and closing the office, ensuring proper protocols, inventory, and assisting front staff is also expected.
What You?ll Need:
We are looking for individuals that exemplify our mission, vision and values of integrity, respect and compassion. Requirements are as follows:
- Prior experience working in the ophthalmic industry
- COA/COT/COMT certification is encouraged but not required
- Experience with OCT, Humphries Visual Field, fundus photography an asset
- Excellent skills to function independently and within the interdisciplinary team
- Strong knowledge and skills of providing care to a full range of patients
- Strong communication, written, and verbal skills
- Excellent attendance and employment record

Pay Range: $19-$26/hr commensurate on experience.
We are open: 8-4pm, Monday - Friday
