Galaxy Vets is expanding to Newfoundland — and we are looking for entrepreneurial veterinarians who want to help build something from the ground up.

Galaxy Vets is an employee-owned veterinary healthcare system created with one mission: to give veterinary medicine back to veterinary professionals. Our Newfoundland hospital will launch as an urgent care and walk-in facility focused on accessible, high-quality medicine, with plans for continued expansion in Phase 2, including advanced diagnostics and specialty-level capabilities such as CT imaging and additional emergency services.

This is more than a DVM position. It is an opportunity to help shape a hospital, influence operations and culture, and grow alongside a rapidly evolving veterinary model.

The Role As part of the founding clinical team, you will: Perform physical examinations, diagnostics, and treatment planning Manage urgent care and emergency cases in a fast-paced environment Perform surgical procedures as needed Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients Collaborate with leadership to develop workflows and hospital processes Contribute to team culture, mentorship, and operational growth Help identify opportunities for service expansion and continuous improvement Maintain accurate and detailed medical records

Who We’re Looking For We are looking for veterinarians who combine strong clinical skills with leadership potential and an ownership mindset.

Ideal candidates are: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) graduates from an accredited university Licensed or eligible to practice in Newfoundland and Labrador Entrepreneurial and interested in the business side of veterinary medicine Excited by leadership, mentorship, and hospital development Adaptable, collaborative, and solutions-focused Motivated to help build a high-performing and positive workplace culture Interested in long-term growth within an evolving organization
