Company: Futbolito Soccer Location: Lord Nelson Elementary (Vancouver, BC) Type: Part-Time / Seasonal (Fall 2026 Term: Sept 14 – Nov 5) with strong possibility of extension Hours: 5.25hr / Week Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays | 2:45 PM – 4:30 PM with the possibility of more hours on Saturdays if interested. Pay Rate: $25.00 – $35.00/hour (commensurate with coaching credentials and experience) Application Deadline: August 14, 2026
About Futbolito Soccer Founded in 2025, Futbolito Soccer is a community focused, Montessori Sports inspired, and play-based program for kids aged 2 – 11 in EastVan. Our curriculum focuses on child-focused physical literacy, coordination, and teamwork. We are not a traditional, competitive soccer club, and instead focus on building a lifelong love of movement in a pressure-free environment. We run weekly sessions, after-school programs, and camps.
Position Summary We are launching our first trial After-School program at Lord Nelson Elementary, and we are seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and high-energy Sports Leader to support the new program! You will be working with children aged 5 to 11 (Kindergarten to Grade 5) in a fun, structured, outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities Session Execution: Support and lead delivering engaging, age-appropriate soccer drills and games following Futbolito’s curriculum. Positive Culture: Create an inclusive, encouraging, and safe environment where every child feels supported and energized, and all families feel welcome! Supervision & Safety: Assist with student check-in/arrival at 2:45 PM, greeting parents/guardians, supervise snack time, and maintain strict attendance and safety protocols until dismissal at 4:30 PM. Field Prep: Help set up and pack down equipment efficiently before and after sessions. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: 1+ years experience coaching or working with young children (e.g. youth sports, day camps, childcare, or coaching education). Certifications: ECE/ECEA (or currently enrolled), or Responsible Adult certifications are strong assets. First Aid / CPR certification and BC Soccer coaching certifications (e.g., Active Start, FUNdamentals) are a plus! Availability: Must be available between 2:45 PM and 4:30 PM on all assigned program days (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays). Clearances & Compliance: Must be 19+ years of age and able to pass a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening prior to start date. Sports Background/Culture Fit: High energy, reliable, patient, punctual, and a passion for working with kids! Understanding of soccer fundamentals and game rules is an asset.
