In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Clinical Practice Consultant - Elderly Services practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model.
The Clinical Practice Consultant - Elderly Services is to champion, guide and lead the delivery of comprehensive care for clients. The Clinical Practice Consultant - Elderly Services will promote the delivery of quality client care by providing clinical consultation and expertise, education and direction based on a specialized body of knowledge to interdisciplinary team members. This role will collaborate with other Clinical Practice Consultants - Elderly Services and members of the inter disciplinary teams; research and evaluate current standards and facilitate the development and implementation of program policies and procedures, education programs for staff and quality improvement initiatives, incorporating evidence based ‘best practices’.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days, 08:00 to 16:00
